Stories on the Page

Storytelling blog: Latest.

Poem, “Chickadee,” edited by the wonderful Elena Bentley and published in spring Magazine vol. 14.

Lots of scintillating professional materials and web content, including as a French curator for a teacher site called the Resource Bank (educators, check it out!).

Poem, “(T)re(e)union,” published in the PULP Poems chapbook by Emerging Writers.

Vaissi was a staff writer and proofreader (and, briefly, ombudsman) for her university newspaper, The Fulcrum. She says it was amazing fun; sadly, a malware attack gobbled up a lot of their online archive - here’s one issue with an article of hers about documentary films.

The first story that Vaissi published was about a snail and a volcano. She was three, and had already staged a slew of stuffed animal action-adventure-dramedy performances for a very local audience.

The book consisted of scribbles on pages from one of her Dad’s legal pads, bound with the cardboard from the back. It was distributed widely within her household, where reviews were generally unmemorable.
